Brown Elementary School is located approximately 20 miles south of Atlanta in Clayton County. It is one of thirty-three elementary schools within the Clayton County Public School System. Brown is primarily a residential community consisting of single family dwellings, with apartments nearby servicing students in grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.Its feeder schools are Mundy’s Mill Middle, Pointe South Middle, Riverdale and Mundy’s Mill High Schools.   Although there has been a slight decrease in the number of businesses developed within the community in the past ten years, the food service industry continues to be the predominant business.

Brown Elementary opened November 10, 1975 with an enrollment of approximately 768 students on land donated by Mr. James H. Brown. In 2005, our facility was renovated complete with a conference room and an enlarged front office. Currently our enrollment is 793.Brown Elementary School serves students in grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade;  It serves students in the neighborhoods of the Jonesboro area of Clayton County. Its feeder schools are Mundy’s Mill Middle, Pointe South Middle, Riverdale and Mundy’s Mill High Schools.
